Purpose: The Florida Department of Transportation, Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise (Enterprise) will hold a Public Information Meeting for a proposed access classification change of SR 407/Challenger Memorial Parkway from I-95 to SR 405. The proposed change will provide consistency between the roadway characteristics and the roadway access classification type. It will allow for at-grade intersections on the roadway consistent with the proposed access classification. The Public Information Meeting will give interested persons an opportunity to review the proposal and ask questions about the proposed change. Widen Florida’s Turnpike Mainline from Neptune Road to N of Osceola Parkway

Purpose: The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise will hold a Public Hearing for the project to widen Florida’s Turnpike (SR 91) from Neptune Road to north of Osceola Parkway in Osceola County. The objective of this Public Hearing is to address changes in the design from the Project Development and Environment Study (PD&E) related to the number of travel lanes on the mainline Turnpike. The proposed improvements include widening the roadway from four lanes to eight lanes and adding a median-separating barrier wall. Additional enhancements include a northbound on-ramp, southbound on-ramp and southbound off-ramp at the SR 500/US 192/US 441 interchange, replacement of existing bridges crossing the mainline, cross-street modifications to accommodate bridge replacements, operational improvements at the Osceola Parkway Interchange, installation of Electronic Toll Collection structures, signage, pavement markings, signalization, Intelligent Transportation System and lighting upgrades, drainage improvements, and noise barrier evaluation and design. The Public Hearing will give interested persons an opportunity to review the project design and ask questions about the proposed improvements and provide comments.
