Florida Transportation Plan – Monroe County Virtual Open House
District: Central Office
Meeting Type: Open House
Date: Thursday, November 07, 2024
Time: 7:00 am to 10:00 pm
Location Name: www.FloridaFTP.com
Purpose: The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), in partnership with Monroe County, is hosting a Virtual Open House regarding the future of transportation in the state. The Virtual Open House will be held from November 7–22, 2024, on the Florida Transportation Plan (FTP) website at www.FloridaFTP.com/resources. The Virtual Open House is being held as part of the 2055 Florida Transportation Plan (FTP) update and will include presentation materials, provide an opportunity for input on the statewide transportation plan development, and provide information about the FTP development process for those who are unable to attend the in-person Monroe County Community Transportation Meeting scheduled for November 7, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM EDT, at the Marathon Government Center. FDOT began the FTP update in May 2024 to develop Florida’s overarching statewide plan guiding our transportation future. Community engagement is critical to the FTP development to ensure that the plan reflects the needs and priorities of Florida’s residents, visitors, and all users of our transportation system. Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or family status. Persons who require special accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act or persons who require translation services (free of charge) should contact Paula San Gregorio at Paula.SanGregorio@dot.state.fl.us at least 7 days prior to the open house.
