Purpose: The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) invites you to attend the Hybrid Public Hearing to discuss the proposed improvements to I-95 from I-10 to north of Beaver Street in Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida. A project development and environment (PD&E) study is currently underway to evaluate alternatives to improve safety, capacity, and traffic operations on I-95. The proposed project will add up to two 12-foot travel lanes in each direction on I-95 and includes the Myrtle Avenue Bridge (Bridge No. 720163) deck replacement and rehabilitation. Access changes are also proposed. In August 2022, FDOT held a virtual and in-person Public Kickoff meeting for the I-95 Improvements from I-10 to Beaver Street PD&E study. At these meetings, residents and interested stakeholders were able to review the project and provide comments regarding the improvements. Since that time, changes have been made to the proposed project and these changes are included in the attached brochure. For your convenience, there are several options to participate in the public hearing including a virtual/online option, a dial-in option, and an in-person option. All participants, regardless of the platform they choose, will receive the same information on the proposed project and all comments received in-person, virtually or electronically will be given equal weight and included as part of the public record for this hearing. State Road 211 Resurfacing Public Meeting

Purpose: The public meeting will cover proposed improvements as part of the Riverside Avenue (State Road 211) resurfacing project (FIN 445431-1), currently scheduled to start in summer 2024. In addition to milling and resurfacing, improvements include the addition of bike lanes, shared use lane markings, sidewalk upgrades, signage, and lighting upgrades. Under the preliminary plans, to enhance safety, some parking would be removed to improve intersection/driveway sight lines. However, frequently used parking with a safe operation history will remain.
