Purpose: The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Seven is initiating an Action Plan for I-175 from I-275 to 3rd Street in St. Petersburg, Florida. An Open House is scheduled for Monday, March 3, 2025, from 3:00pm – 7:00pm at the USF St. Petersburg Campus (Student Center), 200 6th Ave S, St. Petersburg, FL 33701. Parking will be available on Levels 2-4 at the 5th Avenue South Parking Facility located at 250 5th Ave S, St. Petersburg, FL 33701. The I-175 Action Plan will build upon the findings of the 2022 Downtown St. Petersburg Mobility Study, which identified opportunities to enhance multimodal connectivity, safety, and accessibility in and around downtown St. Petersburg. This new study, WPI Segment No. 453887-1, along I-175 from I-275 to 3rd Street in St. Petersburg, a distance of approximately 1.1 miles, focuses on evaluating the form and function of I-175. Community and business engagement will play a central role in shaping the plan to ensure it reflects local needs and priorities.
