The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise (FTE) will hold a Public Kickoff Meeting for the Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study for the widening of Florida’s Turnpike (SR 91) from south of I-595 to Wiles Road in Broward County, Florida (Financial Project Identification Number 442212-1, Efficient Transportation Decision Making Number 14350).
The meeting will be held as an informal open house from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. There will be no formal presentation. During the open house, an informational video and exhibits that describe the PD&E Study process, study area and need for the proposed improvements will be on display. FTE representatives will be available to discuss preliminary project information and answer questions. If the meeting cannot be held on November 21, 2019 due to severe weather or unforeseen conditions, it will be held on the alternate date of December 5, 2019 at the same time and place.
An online version of the meeting will be available on the study website,, starting on November 21, 2019. This online meeting will be accessible anywhere, anytime, and will provide the same information as the in-person meeting.
